Living Healthy Fund

On January 10, 2013 The Asheville Track Club (ATC) established The Asheville Track Club Living Healthy Fund through The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC). The purpose of this fund is to fulfill the mission of the ATC by fostering fitness and healthy lifestyles within the Western North Carolina community. The Living Healthy Fund will allow the ATC to reach beyond it’s membership and make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the community.

The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina is a nonprofit organization established in 1978 to create and manage charitable funds and make grants to nonprofits and public agencies in WNC’s 18-county region. Over the years, the Asheville Track Club has raised thousands of dollars from it’s races and events in support of community needs. Now with the establishment of The Living Healthy Fund, the CFWNC will be responsible for carefully selecting and professionally managing the majority of the ATC’s charitable donations.

Advisors to the ATC Living Healthy Fund will always be the current president and treasurer of the ATC. This year, the Fund advisors are John Blexrud and Dolly McLean. The Community Foundation of WNC will provide all administrative work associated with the fund.

Western North Carolina businesses, non- profit agencies, individuals, and families are all encouraged to donate to The ATC Living Healthy Fund. To contribute directly into the Fund for its charitable purposes, send an email to ashevilletrackclub@gmail.com. If you wish to give a donation in honor of or in memory of someone, an acknowledgment will be provided to that individual by the Community Foundation of WNC.
