Group Runs

A variety of group runs in the area for a range of paces, abilities and goals. These may change frequently, so if you’re unsure about the consistency of a group run, contact the leader/organizer before showing up.

CARRIER PARK RUNNERS
Tuesday and Thursday

  • 6:00 PM until Nov 6 (end of DST) then 5:30 PM and 4:45 for early birds
  • Location: Carrier Park pavilion
  • Leader: Dick & Millicent Duccini

  • Goal: Strength, endurance and speed at your pace. Open to all and your call as to your personal goal.

Saturday: 8:30 AM

  • Beaver Lake on Merrimon (meet in library parking lot next to bird sanctuary)
  • Locations may vary depending on upcoming races. E-mail to verify.

  • Goal:  Hill workout – repeats or 1 hour hilly run

Sunday: 8:00 AM

CARRIER PARK WALKERS

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:00 PM (beginning in May)
  • Meet at Carrier Park Gazebo (with Beginning Runners Program)

  • Pace – slow for fitness and fun

NC ARBORETUM/BENT CREEK

  • Sundays at 8:30 AM – 60 minute trail run
  • Meet at the Green House Parking area
  • Leaders – Bryan Trantham (400-2915) and Rick Taylor (776-3853)
  • Goal – 60 minutes social
  • Pace – 2 to 3 groups – easy to moderate pace
  • Arboretum Location

JUS’ RUNNING

  • Various regularly scheduled group runs
