Group Runs

A variety of group runs in the area for a range of paces, abilities and goals. These may change frequently, so if you’re unsure about the consistency of a group run, contact the leader/organizer before showing up.

NC ARBORETUM/BENT CREEK

 

Sundays at 8:30 AM – 60 minute trail run
Meet at the Green House Parking area

Goal – 60 minutes social

Pace – 2 to 3 groups – easy to moderate pace

 

Arboretum Location

JUS’ RUNNING (three long-time, reliable runs)

Mondays at 6:00 PM – Jane’s 4 miler

Goal – easy, social run

Pace – 10 to 11 minutes

Tuesdays at 6:30 PM – Maggot workout

Goal – strength and speed

Pace – moderate to advanced (6 to 9 minute pace)

Wednesdays at 6:30 PM – social run

Goal – 6 to 8 mile social run

Pace – moderate to advance (7:30 to 8:30 pace)

The Thursday Rice Pinnacle run is now lead by Daniel Amick and Jane Roane. It starts at 6 p.m. with two groups (7 to 11 min pace) and goes about 60 minutes.  Call Jus’ Running for more details: 252-7867.

CARRIER PARK RUNNERS

Tuesday and Thursday

Time   6:00 PM until Nov 6 (end of DST) then 5:30 PM and 4:45 for early birds

Location  Carrier Park pavilion

Pace – advanced – 7 minutes
